Undervote Notification
The State of Illinois has enacted a law which requires our voting equipment
to notify voters if they do not vote every State-wide Constitutional
Office on the ballot. This is referred to as an under vote. If you choose
not to vote for all State-wide Constitutional Offices listed, your ballot
will be returned to you by the tabulator, and a message will appear
on the tabulator read-out, informing you of which office(s) you under
voted. You may either return to the booth and mark any under voted office,
or you may have your ballot accepted “as-is” by over riding
the under vote notification.
This instruction is in no way a suggestion or recommendation that you
vote for all offices. If you choose to under vote one or more offices,
all other validly cast votes will be properly counted.
