It is the purpose of the Stephenson County Treasurer to conduct the duties of the office with professionalism, accountability and integrity. The County Treasurer promotes an atmosphere of cooperation with all county departments, the County Board and private businesses. The County Treasurer and her staff are dedicated to serving the public in a friendly and efficient manner. Through the use of traditional standards and new technology, it is the goal of the County Treasurer to conduct all the duties of the office in the best interests of the taxpayers by providing exceptional public service, while maintaining a conservative budget.

2008 PAYABLE 2009 INSTALLMENT DUE DATES FOR PROPERTY TAXES ARE;

WEDNESDAY, JULY 1ST, 2009 AND FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2009

Please Note: The next delinquent tax sale will be held on November 4th, 2009. The Last Day to pay your property taxes and avoid having them sold at tax sale is November 3rd, 2009 with certified funds. The Publication of Delinquent Tax Payments will be on the 16th of October, 2009 in the Journal Standard.

PLEASE NOTE: Tax payers are not guaranteed to be excluded from the publication listing if payment is received after October 9, 2009.
